“From Mourning to Morning Coffee”
Finding Purpose and Peace in the Season of Loss and Grief
The season of my life that involved walking through cancer with my husband and ultimately losing him was more overwhelming than I could have ever imagined. I put on a smile and tried to look strong, but that season has forever changed me. Some of the change has really not been good, to be quite honest. Trauma can alter the way you think, the way you feel and ultimately, the way you act. But, I’m so thankful for grace. Grace that is unquestionable, unearned, and undeserved. From that place of grace, the Holy Spirit helped me take the pain, and put it into a book that I pray brings healing to many hurting lives.
We aren’t perfect, folks. And, we live in a very imperfect world. We face a daily enemy that would like nothing more than to destroy us (John 10:10), but I would rather focus on the fact that Jesus came so that “you may have life and have it to the full.” From Mourning to Morning Coffee is full of stories of encouragement from my own personal journey through mourning. My friend and author, Adrienne Ross said, “It has three elements: Heart wrenching, humor and HOPE!” That sums up every chapter.
I pray that this book will forever impact your life with HOPE and ENCOURAGEMENT regardless of the season you are walking through. Please share it with others who need a dose of HOPE and ENCOURAGEMENT.

Congratulations on the book! I know exactly what you mean about trauma changing you and not always for the better. My wife is still fighting cancer.

Thank you. I’m very sorry that your wife is still battling cancer and I pray for both of you during this time. I hope that you can read my book.
